NEW: Number 10 says if opposition don’t take up no confidence offer tonight they assume parliament is behind his Brexit plan and Boris Johnson doesn’t rule out a second prorogation in order to achieve it...

Essentially, if the opposition don’t try and get rid of the PM then No10 believe that shows parliament has faith in Johnson and he’ll do whatever it takes to get Brexit plans through. Asked if there could be a second prorogation the spokesman said:pic.twitter.com/CYqan6sGKC

(Incidentally, the question the spokesman was asked was will you have a second prorogation if MPs don’t go for this [confidence vote]?)

How can they assume that, given Parliament only 2 weeks ago voted through a bill making no deal illegal?

There are 2 parties to any agreement. Basic GCSE law tells you that you cannot bind a 3rd party Benn's law is powerless as it attempts to bind the EU into avoiding no deal and as a 3rd party, the EU cannot be bound by UK law

Well in that case the Rebel Alliance will have to take control of the business of the House to demonstrate otherwise.

If there is a prorogation it will be litigated, and the Supreme Court will not be one bit impressed at such sleight of hand.
