Or are we to believe that it's a coincidence that al-Baghdadi was in the only house left standing after all of Putin and Assad's bombing of Idlib? Either they gave him up or simply declined to warn him this time.

It's not really that obvious (at least to me), but now that you say it...

A week after we leave, we coincidentally get the guy that we couldn't get for years? Notwithstanding that all this time he was right there? I'll go so far as to say that either the Russians/Turks were tipping Baghdadi off every time we were getting close.

Think again, he was already turned by the Turks. Russia knew where Bagdhadi was as well, they bombed the entire area. Only one small neighborhood survived? And how did the tunnels get dug? No one noticed it? Quid pro quo dear...trump wanted it for reelection. He lost Ukraine.

I thought it was just personal enrichment from a condo tower in Moscow. So that deal's a lot better.

Trump needed a "win" with the shit show currently going on. Oddly enough I think that Baghdadi killing himself takes away some of the "ooomph". No doubt he knew that the end was near most likely bc either wore got back to him from the Russians or Turks or they went silent on him.
