Forgiveness does not equal stupidity, nor gullibility, nor weakness. If someone is threatening you... YOU DEAL WITH THE THREAT. This may mean punishing the one causing the threat. Whether or not you personally forgive them is irrelevant to dealing with the threat appropriately.
