My first excellent OB/GYN at 45 yrs old was a Black woman who walked me through the fibroids & cysts that would leave me barren. As a white woman working in East Africa with mothers & families, I’d finally found a genuine soul to guide me, my own maternal desires & gave me hope.
If you’d like, I will ask her and another well-known, now retired, Black woman who was a pioneer in complicated childbirth for suggestions for you. More than happy to do so, honored to make the connection.

Fantastic you’ve got options! Unjeria’s on the board of the Atlantic Heath System in NJ, but lives in Florida now. Your call if you want her to be a sounding board for your considerations as you pick. She’s a
wonderful & generous person. Her daughters rock too. DM if you do
