When we came to America, my parents worried if we’d be accepted. We changed our names. My mother Duru, went by Deena. My father Ramesh, went by Ricky. Instead of Rajesh, I went by Raj. No one should have to change identity for fear of being accepted. We belong here #StopAsianHate
