    An Ohio voting rights activist died at 90 and used her obituary to get out the vote. “Peg reminds you that you need to vote in the upcoming May 3 election,” her death notice went on, “and that you can vote either absentee by mail, in person for advance polls, or on election day.”

    We need laws in place that prohibit the use the facial recognition technology. This is also a racial equity issue!

    At least three Black men have already been wrongfully arrested on a false facial recognition match. We cannot ignore how these technologies pose unique threats to communities of color. My bill stops the use of facial recognition technology by federal entities and law enforcement.

    So very long overdue. It actually brings tears given the legacy and path of lynching in America. Too many families, esp from the South know the threat and realities of this violence.

    Follow for all things privacy, surveillance.

    Laws protecting biometric privacy are lacking, but really important. If someone steals your password, you can change it, but if they steal your faceprint, voiceprint, or DNA, good luck.
