Great images here, but fair to point out that 99% are from a wire service or agency with a mass volume/low fee approach to licensing & where CNN, like other media companies with a subscription, gets access to them via subscription. A 🧵 about distribution:

To the contrary, freelancers who care about copyright & being compensated fairly, & who choose to *not* work with agencies or wire services that issue Work For Hire contracts (AP, Reuters, AFP), or license for pennies on the dollar (Getty), are faced with being mostly shut out.
