I worked really hard writing a paper in 8th grade. I was so proud of it, & my teacher gave it back to me & told me I need to write in “my own words”. So I spent the next 4 yrs dumbing down all my work.

8th grade teachers let some girls bully me (in our very small class) after my dad died b/c one of the girls’ mom worked at the school

Oh man, one of the snottiest middle school mean girls I knew was the daughter of one of the ladies who worked in the office.
