That was definitely a secret he should’ve kept to himself.

This is what therapists are for.

It's a horrible situation actually, because if he hadn't taken the test he'd have let the doubt eat him alive and probably ruined the relationship in slow mo. I understand she feels betrayed but I'm not sure her leaving and taking the kids is much better decision making either.

If you love a child, nothing that happens or happened in the grown up world is supposed to break that trust. The answer here was therapy, not a paternity test.

He really did a paternity test on a child because hes darker than his wife and daughter. Mixed children come in all shades. And he tried to say he wasnt racist but the child being darker was what caused him to doubt.
-
He even goes on about the daughter’s blue eyes and how taken his family is with her.

Oh he's absolutely the asshole and I love the way he now denies he abd his family treated the son differently when he admits he did in the beginning of the narrative. Too many people want biracial children to have a certain skin tone when that's often not the case.
-
Came here just to type that. He ADMITTED he started to resent the son. So DUH you did treat him different. Also funny to me how the 2nd child's blue eyes made him "so sure" she was his when that is not a trait his wife has but rejected the son for traits his wife *does* have? WTF
