    Are we really at that point in society where people can minimise the deaths of over 5 and a half million people worldwide, simply because it didn’t affect them or they think COVID mild or they think people, especially doctors like me, are overreacting?

    To be clear—Science didn’t “lie to you”. Shots were initially working VERY well against infection with the OG virus. But then NOT ENOUGH ppl got vaccinated & so new variants emerged. Now shots aren’t working as well against infection—but they STILL work against severe illness!

    As a microbiologist I would rather eat a whole batch of raw cookie dough that’s been at room temp for four hours than be trapped indoors with someone who tested positive for covid five days ago

    We need to be more clear about this message. Those who face unwanted pregnancies don’t deserve punishment. At all. In any way. It’s not going to change any incentives, it serves no purpose. People w/unwanted pregnancies deserve freedom, support & grace just like everyone else

    Reject the society that’d have us do this because of a minority’s obsession w/guns instead of agreeing that irresponsible & easy access to guns is the problem. This isn’t freedom. School shootings, unintentional shootings, DV shootings, city gun violence etc. is not inevitable.

    A toddler was shot and killed in Oakland yesterday when a stray bullet entered his vehicle and struck him in the head, but you might not have heard about it because it’s the sort of thing that happens every single day in America. It’s long past time we did something about that.
