This isn’t my take away at all. There has actually been plenty of evidence that when they needed to they could very much influence the truckers. It’s a convenient narrative for them now because they want to distance themselves from the harm they caused but I’m not buying it.

In short: 47,000 more people voted this year than in 2018, and it seems almost all of them went to McKenney.
