at least he came around, I guess. There's a pretty deeply entrenched belief among the trust fund journalism elite that having and expressing human opinions online somehow denigrates the entire newsroom, which is also violently idiotic

it's 2023 and we're only just now starting to see newsrooms realize that "both sides" "view from nowhere" reporting and pseudo-objectivity have been ruthlessly exploited by corporations and authoritarians for decades to the detriment of truth

still understated I think is the fact that corporations have known and exploited this for the better part of the last forty years and it took people literally employed in the truth and information business a generation to figure it out
