    If you ask me about the Russians' mood about a possible war in Ukraine, it is apathy. No appetite for war, no jingoism, but no anti-war activism either. I guess there is a similar story in Ukraine.

    Julian Assange is still not free. Today, he was "granted permission to seek appeal", on a narrow point of law, to the UK Supreme Court against his extradition to and torture in the US. Clearly, it is freedom that he should be granted.

    We’ve been creeping into a de facto alliance with Ukraine and creating moral hazard for some time. Bring our troops home - or move west - before they create facts on ground that could get us into an irrational conflict.

    It's worth noting ~150 Florida National Guardsmen are on the ground, fulfilling a training/advising mission alongside Ukrainian Armed Forces. They deployed to Ukraine late last year.
