I worked for Bernie right out of college. For 20 yrs, this — and only this — has made getting any job in politics/media far more difficult. I’m not complaining, but I speak from experience when I say that the hatred of him & his ideology by the political/media class is very real.

This is how absurd PAYGO is: We campaigned in the Better Deal for $1 trillion in infrastructure spending over 10 years. Under PAYGO, if after 6 years that plan wld produce a deficit, it would not be in order — even if in 10 years it wld create 16 million jobs and revenue growth!

This letter outlining a comprehensive agenda came from . Read it & you’ll understand why he’s my choice for 2020. And for you cynics: it’s not a “cult thing” - it’s about his clarity, his consistency, & his conviction.

I am 100% sure that NOTHING unnerves Trump more than a Palestinian American Muslim WOMAN, newly elected to Congress from Deroit, saying “Impeach this Motherfucker.” I’m here for it. And I’m here for how damn dumb conservatives now look calling for nice language & civility.

Theres a handful of 2020 candidates who challenge oligarchy. There is a larger group of 2020 candidates who accept oligarchy & merely seek compromise with it. There will be an effort to distract from this distinction, but it’s one of the biggest dividing lines in the Dem primary.

My 2019 New Years resolution is to be more worshipful of corporate politicians, refuse to scrutinize anyone’s public record, and become far more enamored with charisma and dreamy good looks rather than policy.

Warren basically created the CFPB. Bernie almost singlehandedly put Medicare For All at the center of American politics & also just spearheaded the first Senate use of the War Powers Act in history. I’m not sure any of the other 2020 candidates can claim such big accomplishments.

Here’s something that the mainstream media has left out when talking about Trump’s plan to withdraw troops from Syria: Congress never authorized sending troops to Syria. In fact, the UN also never approved. Our troops in Syria are in violation of domestic and international law.

There seems to be a group of Very Online Democrats who really think it would be better to just scrap the primaries & instead have a meeting at the Center for American Progress where a few pundits, thinktank staffers & lobbyists select the 2020 Dem nominee & announce it to America

Theres been way more tweeted, written and pontificated about the fake Beto-Bernie “war” than there has been about the differences between Beto and Bernie’s voting records and policies that would affect millions of people. This is the problem with media & politics today.

I am horrified by this whitewash of the murder of - 20 yr old Palestinian medic murder by Israeli sniper in July. Israeli closes story w/ “accidents happen”. Not an accident when you shoot into a crowd from 120 yards away. It’s murder.

Most lib pundits on cable TV news are affluent & don’t need stuff like Medicare for All in order for them & their families to survive. This is why most of them demand you prioritize vapid “unity” rather than actual progressive policy. They don’t need the policy. They’re rich.

Corporate Dems’ policy agenda has been to cut Social Security & Medicare & gut financial regs. In other words, their goal is to destory the popular Great Society/New Deal agenda that was the policy foundation of the Dem Party & that helped the party dominate elections for decades

How many people have gone to an in-network hospital only to find out that you were seen by an out-of-network doctor when you get a huge medical bill? With Medicare for All, you could stop worrying about being in the right network and focus on what’s truly important: your health.

This thread is remarkably dumb & petty. And trite & self-absorbed. How did she convince herself it was clever? A good reminder that writing successful children's books doesn't signify deep political wisdom. And it's unwise to view the world by who is being mean to you on Twitter:
