There is a vacant seven-story hospital sitting in the middle of Los Angeles while 40,000 people are unhoused in our city every night.
That’s wrong.
As mayor, I will make sure we are doing everything possible to bring our unhoused neighbors inside.

Karen, I hope you understand why exactly unhoused people detest congregate shelters and alter the paradigm of sheltering people without homes. Homes are places you can have a beer with friends and have a community.

The hospital should turn into a rehab or mental illness facility. Those are the services that are needed for our homeless population.

I always wondered why these empty buildings aren’t used in a productive manner, hopefully you can make a difference ☮️

Please tell me we are not talking about St. Vincent's? Are we seriously talking about a candidate proposing a development project involving the owner of the LA Times? As a campaign talking point?

My sister just moved from LA to TX, it was seemless getting an apartment in TX vs LA, simply because the cost to move in was hundreds of dollars vs $2k+ in LA. The rental deposit fees in LA alone are a main reason why ppl with jobs are houseless. How can we change this?

How did get away with buying this hospital, after thorough vetting, and turn it into a major care and research resource, then presumptively close it without much government or press scrutiny?
