    Biometric data is used to help confirm identity, and in time may be able to predict an individual’s actions. It is crucial that this data is protected against function creep and other forms of misuse. Read this paper by myself and on biometric surveillance.

    African countries with weak regulation could become testing grounds for emerging biometric technologies.

    Extremely saddened by news of Tony’s untimely death. He was one of my mates at BBC GMR - ever the joker once fooling me by reading the news in drag whilst I tried to keep a straight face in studio next to him. A witty, clever and lovely guy who adored his 2 girls

    Thank you for actually reading the following tweet - "Spin" - exactly my point. Doesn't take away from the "Mia culpa" tone in parts but yes there was a heavy sprinkling of spin. Nuance clearly lost on twitter.

    Perhaps read the next tweet I submitted about about swallowing the strategic communication playbook - ie making people think they are getting something whether or not they actually are. Then make your own judgement about whether I was being sarcastic or not.
