A business that has to reinvest almost all of its FCF to grow 5% is NOT the same as a business that has to reinvest almost none of its FCF to grow 5%. That is all.

Google wrote a letter to the Fed advocating for FedNow to be based on India’s UPI. Monthly transactions went from 100k to 1.15B in the first 4 years of UPI. Excited to see how instant payments play out in the US

"Grinding isn’t very satisfying. It is hard to stand up in front of everyone and say 'we are going to fix things around here bit by bit with a lot of hard work.'...given a choice between a flashy operator or a grinder, I will take a grinder every time."

Amazon was the first to realize that every internal team must expose its API as the primary product. Twilio and Stripe are doing the same, with enormous success. Interfaces are the key to building large-scale systems. They are the most important products exposed. (1/2)
