I have ideas! Let's cut spending on prisons even more. I think there are still a couple of prisons that have not had riots yet.
Or maybe slash transportation funding more? Who needs roads, amirite?
Or what could go wrong if we slash DCF spending? Besides dead kids?

To be clear, that was sarcasm. The real problem Kansas faces is chronic underinvestment in nearly all state services, from transit & prisons to education & social services. Gov. Kelly has spent very judiciously, trying to repair Brownback's damage at the lowest cost.

It’s certainly more fiscally responsible than the standard GOP playbook of increase spending —-> increase government ——> cut taxes for the rich and business interests.

This has happened before. Raise taxes, invent a bunch of crazy things to spend it on, ignore taxpayers, cry about not having enough money to fund the crazy stuff, raise taxes. Get voted out but act noble.

People who don't know you are the Secretary of the KS GOP will think you are talking about Republicans and their crazy tax giveaways to giant corporations and the huge no-bid contracts dished out to Brownback cronies. Or maybe you are talking about that?
