This year we fought for a democracy that is visionary, that is exciting, that is inclusive of all voices. See what Washington Community Alliance accomplished together in 2022!

Did you know that Texas is the national leader in solar & wind? It's not because they give solar & wind special subsidies. It's because they make it easy to build all types of energy infrastructure (and have price competition for electricity — so lowest cost wins).

Really the more I read this the more I like it. Not just the "GOP women" bit but also the "Privately" part … like, "Speaking anonymously, so as not to seem gay, some GOP strategists worried that classrooms strewn with the bodies of children might poll badly in key demographics."

There are armed Israeli riot police stood in front of the al-Qibli mosque, at one point poised and pointing their guns at the people inside. I’m now in the mosque and it’s literally a handful of unarmed Palestinians including young children.

The Corretta Scott King school of thought on maintaining price stability-- a forgotten aspect of the back half of the midcentury Civil Rights movement: agree or disagree with the prescriptions, we often forget it wasnt just The Hurt Feelings of The Blacks. These folks were wonks!

This poll conducted on the eve of the election is fascinating. It dug into what Chicago voters meant when listing "crime" as their #1 issue. When presented with both candidates' public safety proposals, voters favored Johnson's by double digits drive.google.com/file/d/1ym0pCc

And there it is: w/ 484,829 votes counted in Chicago, Brandon Johnson takes the lead over Paul Vallas by 1,111 votes (50.11%-49.89%). You wouldn't want to call it without seeing at least some mail, but it's virtually done.

But love finds a way! College sweethearts Khalia Beckford & Peter Don are getting married at City Hall, right next to the media circus. She got her dress last night at Macy’s: “I did not plan for this,” she says of the police & media. “It’s not going to ruin my big day.”

Tonight as Tennessee House Republicans push forward to schedule vote on our expulsion, Speaker Sexton orders the gallery cleared as crowd chants “fascists.” Media forced out at as well. Then, Rep. Lafferty (R-Knox) pushes me and grabs my phone. This is a sad day for Tennessee.
