Since the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) was passed by Congress in 1993 with the original intent of protecting the rights of religious minorities, it has since been contorted and misappropriated to shield the mistreatment of women, children, and the LGBTQ community.

Equal protection and opportunity under the law
Workplace protections, including child abuse
Health care info, access, and coverage

This is both wrong and a slippery slope. Discriminating against people is not the free exercise of religion, so preventing discrimination doesn't violate 1st am.
