Due to the spiraling cost of health ins. we can no longer offer health coverage to our teachers and staff. The Affordable Care Act was help on the horizon, but we will disappear in a flash if we don’t speak up.
There is so much more we should do to guarantee health care as a right for every single person in this country, including Medicare for All. Be careful with how you use the word “right”. If you think healthcare is a human right, that has more to do with availability than government suppling it. Imagine if someone said “having a firearm is a right” and then campaigned the government to supply guns to the population.

I think access to healthcare is absolutely a right and it does not mean that because people have the right to bear arms that everyone should be given a gun at birth. Medicare for all doesn’t mean a government agent is going to show up at your door when you’re due for a check up.

So, am I to conclude that you believe that health care is a right, but that the ability to protect one's self from violence is not? The reality is that health care is a commodity and we should find a way to (through competition) to make it more affordable and accessible.
