Either I'm misunderstanding you or aren't those called unions? And, not so sure that unions work out for the best for all occupations. Teachers are case in point.

This is why the Democratic Party is in trouble. The ingrown nature of the Party, the Bernie bashing, etc. is costing us a stream of Independents into the fold. I have been a Dem for 50 years, let’s expand...not contract.
