This goes beyond low income. Even families with moderate income levels who may have other financial obligations (student loans, medically complex child) are being priced right out of the housing market.

California affordable housing is a problem. But, not a federal government problem, it is a California State problem, a state that promotes Socialism. You can't be all things to all people. Cal. Is out of control. The rest of the country should not have to pay for their programs

For a state that claims it helps more people than most it's a mess. One of only a few States that have homeless streets. And unsafe living conditions. 3rd world areas. A state that sucked the life out of the poor and they continue to support you.

It’s not just lower income ppl who can’t afford it. I have to commute 2 hours each way because as a single adult with a good income, who pays far too much in taxes in California, I can not afford to live close to work.

You are right, affordable housing is needed. And the best way to do that is to get government out of the way and cut fees and regulations by 80%. Government is the problem, never the solution. #earlywachnation
