34% of Black children live in poverty—almost 3x that of whites. And as the NYT recently explored, Black infants are more than twice as likely to die as white infants. Let’s speak the truth and be clear: no child in America should live in poverty or die during infancy.

Hell no madam Senator, they most certainly should not. It’s a damn crime that in 2018 we are still fighting this. Enough is enough. Folks are folks and it’s just that simple. Everyone deserves a chance to grow up healthy, happy, and whole.

You're right Senator. Meanwhile CA has a 20% poverty rate (highest in US) and 1/3 of the country's welfare recipients (highest in US). What have you done about that since being elected? Aside fm tweeting and whining about Trump.

Well that is a skewed way to present the truth, lets compare apples to apples shall we? California is the most populated state at roughly 39 million and change, the next is Texas falling more than 12 million shorter in population, The recipients correlate to the population.
