MJ regulation, and drug regulation in general is based on the Public Health powers of the government. Decriminalizing arguments are not the same as legalization arguments. Legalizing MJ arguments are not the same for legalizing any drug.
As our country moves toward decriminalizing marijuana, let's remember how many lives have been ruined because of our regressive policies. We must also focus on restorative justice.

Please don’t stop short at decriminalizing. That’s not the solution. All that does is keep marijuana against the law while allowing profits to stay in the hands of those who are willing to illicitly sell it. Make it legal. No decriminalization. Tax/regulate it like tobacco.

that's what we are doing in Canada, starting this year. Will be interesting to see how this plays out and what impact it has on the debate in the US

Please consider decriminalizing adult sex work also. The repressive and dangerous laws are not helping those being trafficked. And addictionly are placing consenting adults in very high risk positions.
