I see people saying these kids are too young to be involved in politics. I reject that notion. John Lewis was 21 when he went to Mississippi as an original Freedom Rider. Diane Nash was 22 when she led sit-ins Nashville. Our youth have always been our future. #MarchforOurLives

The bar has been lowered for Presidential behavior but these pre-teens raised the bar higher for what to expect from American kids.

We were too young to vote, but every weekend we went to DC to stop the Viet Nam War, demand equal rights & clean environment, & against the corrupt pres Nixon & his lot. It can be done! So proud of these kids! Passing the torch

There's no 'appropriate age' for asking people to stop the slaughter of your friends. No one should have to live in fear as they go about their daily life, especially children.
