Because our nation lacks national paid family and sick leave policies, employees can be fired for taking a day off to care for a sick child or parent. That’s not right. We need to support workers.

My husband's lost several jobs due to his taking me to the ER and/or staying for surgery. Then when he gets a new job, the clock for FMLA starts all over again. They're so brazen here about breaking FMLA, etc They don't care because there are no consequences.
