FWIW, in a *few* states (e.g., MD) it is highly illegal to leave/store a firearm where a minor can get to it; while I don't recall the Annotated Code entry exactly, *fairly* sure it's a felony/arrestable offense. There are only a few states which have CAP laws on FAs, though.

if we remove guns from police and replace with darts that put people that are threats to sleep, like using diprovan, until they are restrained this will solve this problem of gun violence. guns are for shooting in the air for help never at someone.

YES! & Mandatory wait period should be way more than THREE DAYS. WHAT is going to be found out in three days? And who supposed to gather this? The guy in the sporting goods store? Getting medical/psych info alone will take longer than that! Common sense here people!
