They are terrific! I can't stop looking at Obama's hands. Mrs. Obama's sense of style is one of her hallmarks and this portrait captures it perfectly.

Probably because his hands are as long from wrist to fingertips as his arms are from shoulder to elbow. Weird.

LOVE these portraits of the Obamas. They’re art in a world where portraits are often reduced to little more than vanity caricatures. These will survive the test of time just as the Presidency they honor will.

Disagree. I’m disappointed by the amateur clumsiness of Michelle’s. She doesn’t even look like this. And the skin tone and modeling is awful. It’s quite a letdown. I wish it could have been better. She deserves better.

Amy Sherald painted the one of Michelle. First FEMALE person of color to paint an official portrait!

She should have had more practice. Terrible IMHO

Michelle's is far from stunning. It is dull, cold, distant, and distorted. It looks nothing like her. It does not capture her spirit or dignity. It needs to be DONE OVER!
-
I feel the artist did not capture her face. But I love her arms!!

Hope Trump notices the large hands. Wish he could have been president for life. Miss them.

I love them too and miss the measure of grace and intelligence they brought to the WH. But we must be careful about wanting the presidency to be a lifetime position. It cannot be in a democracy. But I do know what you mean - wishing for an adult to be in charge.
