Better yet be your own role model and if you happen to influence a few people along the way ... great. And when you are doing and not just talking you will not have to talk about yourself and tell everyone about what you are doing. It will not matter to you and they will know.
You don't have to be famous to be a role model. Identify issues you're passionate about, like climate change or income inequality. Seek out your own role models, like a teacher or a family friend. Then, take a deep breath and get to work.

Great advice!! When young, growing up, my role model was always my dad. I do not understand those who look up to someone who has never done one thing to better anyone but themselves. Best way to peace, is to help others along the road,teach,help, be open minded. )0(

My mother went back to school at 50,received a scholarship to Niagara University. Belonged to 4 honor societies was always on the dean's list graduated with a 3.9. Became a social worker who helped NY State domestic violence/elder abuse laws. She's my role model.
