My hubby was able to take 6 weeks off when our second child was born, and it made a world of difference for all 4 of us. Our older child wasn't jealous, we weren't (as) sleep deprived, &, most importantly, we had time to bond as a family. Thank you CA!

I used paid family leave for the birth of both of my children. It was the greatest thing I could have done. The initial bonding time with an infant is crucial.

It was amazing that the state of California gave me six weeks to bond with my adopted daughter. I will cherish those weeks all my life and all Americans deserve the same
