My advice to everyone is don't look or judge people by skin color like Kamala does. Content of character that matters.
My advice to Black girls everywhere: whenever you find yourself in a room where there aren't a lot of people who look like you — be it a classroom, or a boardroom, or a courtroom — remember that you have an entire community in that room with you, all of us cheering you on.

And if they have no interest in reclaiming said power then what? It’s Black History Month & Senator Harris wanted 2 speak words of encouragement black girls. Get over yourself. U want 2 save those women? Have at it. Trust me, they’ll accept it coming from you than her.

Skin tone is only one aspect of how you look. If I'm in a room with one other woman, I see someone who shares almost every trait with me. Maybe not weight, style, eye color, skin tone, hair color or other frills. But we are women in an adverse culture and I'll be cheering her on!

I cheer for everyone. But this is about the likelihood of being the only in the middle of another only. Which is even lonelier. But it's important to support each other.

Is this for real? I’m a first/Second Grade teacher and I would love for my students ( or our school) to write some letters! We barely have 230 kids- but, if we can find a way to explain to them what happened, and have them write, this would be very purposeful & educational!

Actually, colorblindness is A) not possible in our modern society due to historically ingrained implicit biases and B) when someone claims to be colorblind they’re just actively refusing to acknowledge the historical and modern factors which define a person’s quality of life.

I don't ever want to live in a world where my ancestry is not noticed. I am proud of my ancestry and wouldn't change it for all of the money in the world. Color blind = racism where the majority becomes the default.
