Or--those students who want to go to college should be able, while those who don't should be able to find jobs. Most jobs that require college don't need the education; they just think college is a handy winnowing tool.

Absolutely correct. We need more qualified tech, trade, and skill acquisition training like apprenticeship. A degree from a college does not improve those skills.

So.... do what I did.... get a job, pay your bills, and continue your education. You will become a thriving member of the American dream. Not a snowflake

The GOP set it up purposely so middleclass folks can’t get into their club. Knowing SSI won’t be enough to retire with it also inhibits you from saving. Ryan calls SSI entitlement. Ron Reagen took the money $1.5T to offset his budget (Star Wars). Never paid it back.

Cindy don't waste too much energy on him because I'm pretty sure he's a trolll or a GOP Lackey. I'm about sick of the way they want to crush everybody. I live with someone with a PhD and a law degree who scrapes by everyday in and unprivileged work environment without connections

Thank you! I'm a 46-year-old woman currently carrying $177,000 I'm student loan debt. It keeps growing because my income-based repayment plan doesn't cover all the interest, but I can't afford to pay more. I have little hope of ever getting out from under. Such a broken system!

This is my situation with the parents Plus loans we have for our son, including the amount owed, and I’m 60. The interest is ridiculous. I’ll never be able to pay off this loan. Just wanted you to know you aren’t alone.
