My wife & I inherited my mother's old Whirlpool washer & dryer. Had to have repairman come out and replace motor in washer. Asked about buying new. He told us people are going out and buying used made in US because the new ones don't last. These have been going for 20+ years.

I don’t get it. Seems to me that the tariffs help the workers whose companies can’t compete with Chinese companies not paying workers a decent rate. But if US companies just jack up their prices too then I’ll agree with you.
