I’ve tried approximately 65 trials, about 55 of which I was first chair, 25 criminal (23 jury trials) 40 civil (all bench). I’ve also “tried” about 70 adjudicatory hearings, had countless motion hearings, and depositions and sworn statements ad nauseum.

I understand Daubert and Frye. I have conducted the direct examination of hundreds of witnesses, and cross examined a few dozen witnesses. At this stage, I wouldn’t consider myself qualified to be a Federal District Court Judge, and I’d question the judgment of anyone who did!
