The reason higher education costs so much is because the government got involved.

Prior to ‘80 taxes subsidized between 100-80% of tuition at public universities. As we slashed taxes those subsidies have been slashed bringing banking into the equation. So what was that you were saying?

I paid for my own education. No parents to help. Worked to pay back my student loans. Proud I did it myself. Proud of my education. You feel better about something you have paid for yourself. Kids, get to school and get to work. You can do it!
