As the Republicans rewrite this bill in secret (again), I have an idea: Instead of giving corporations a big tax cut, let’s give the middle class a real, permanent tax cut.

Perhaps instead of JUST giving tax cuts, could we also invest in infrastructure, social programs and education? Our economy is booming. We should be investing in our society.

If GOP so sure corporations will use tax breaks to give raises, let's make that part of the law. Guaranteed pass through to citizens. Good.

The Dems did try to include a provision in the bill requiring corps to reinvest some of the tax benefits and it was voted down unanimously by the Republicans.

I have an ever better idea: if the USA is going to borrow a trillion dollars for something, use it for infrastructure instead of tax cuts. (I'm middle class, and I DON'T need a tax cut. I DO need to cross bridges that won't collapse.)
