More than 4,600 Californians die each year from opioid overdoses. We need to treat this epidemic like the public health crisis it is.

Unfortunately there are a lot of us who use medications to get up in the morning that are being penalized. Current laws impact wrong people.

Can U do it w/out criminalizing people who have just had surgery or other conditions? Not everyone is an addict, but everyone is human.

It starts with doctors I think. They need to get better at addressing pain, esp chronic pain.

Also, insurers are quick to pay for a script and their limits on physical therapies, incl alternative therapy, need to be looked at.

and most of those pills come from outside of the country, now start helping the people who need them to function, 2 difficult to find help
