In the 80’s, the LA sky was thick with smog. Then, smart policy was made and now you can see the sky in LA. We can’t go back.

I remember "Smog Days" in elementary school when we would have to spend recess indoors. The skies were brown.

Wow, I had blocked that from my memory, but you're right! I remember smog alerts were regular part of the weather reports.

Not all haze is filth. LA is subject to thick marine layers, especially in May and June.

I grew up in that era. I just moved back to CA after years away. The skies are clear. It's a real testament to the work that's been done.
