Bugs me as current opioid addiction crisis affects more whites. When it was PoC it was criminalized. Both issues need fixing.
We need to start treating opioid abuse as a public health matter, instead of incarcerating people who are suffering from substance abuse.

Exactly. When heroine was taking over the POC communities, the answer was prison. Now that it's a white issue, the answer is treatment.

My bro is in pain research. People in chronic pain don't become addicted because pain kills the high.
