Canadians out of work due to Covid have been receiving $2000 a month since March. Our numbers are going down daily and the $2000 has been extended 8 more weeks. America needs to wake up!

Because Canada did that right off the bat - people could afford to stay home long enough to crush the curve. Now we are reopening with our citizens in good financial shape and minimal new cases while the US is headed for prolonged disease and/ or lockdowns.

For many, three months of rent is due today.

I cannot imagine the pressure that must be, in the midst of the country getting sick and dying. So much trauma happening to people right now. It’s unbearable.

I'm just recently unemployed. I have no idea how people who have been unemployed since March are surviving. This pandemic is not ending any time soon either.

So true. This is the 1st time I have ever been unemployed too. Unemployment pays half my old income. W/out extra 600 that ends July 31st, I'd be screwed. I think many are in the same situation. People are stressed &
