Because no-knock warrants in drug cases were legal in Louisville, officers were able to burst into Breonna Taylor’s home without warning. They murdered her. Our Justice in Policing Act would ban no-knock warrants in drug cases. The Senate must pass it now.

The officers were doing what was legal. They returned fun fire that resulted in her death. Had her boyfriend not fired a gun, she would most likely be alive today. Facts matter.

Facts do matter. Why not consider all the relevant facts. Like the police never identified themselves. He believed it was a home invasion. He actually called 911 for help. At best, the flagrant negligence displayed by the police caused the death of a brave young woman.
