We spend $15,424 per student per year
$15,424 * 25 students per class
= $385,600
Teachers only make $60k
Where does the other $325,600 go?

I am one of them. How do you furlough a teacher when there is a national shortage?

Perhaps you should eliminate a few redundant administrative positions and spend that money on education!

This can’t be overstated. I regularly spent between $4,000 & 8,000 a year while teaching. At least then it was tax deductible. Trump & the GOP took that away to give the 1% a huge tax cut they didn’t need and didn’t use to help others.
-
Exactly! The tax deduction amounts have diminished over the years. The only profession that can’t deduct more than $250. Ridiculous!
