The training element is critical and can and should be addressed through every medical school in America. It should address race, socio-economic background, those who live in food deserts, and even cultural differences. This part shouldn't be hard to fix.
.@AllysonFelix's maternal health story is all too common for Black women in our nation. It has to change. I introduced the Maternal CARE Act to ensure women are listened to and taken seriously in our health care system.

This. I complained to my rheumatologist for more than a year that I was having severe pain in my neck, shoulders, arm and back. My PCP sent me to a spine specialist, 3 disks were herniated. Three!! It’s rough out there for us
