I teach at a Title 1 school. 95% BIPOC. All free b’fast, lunch, “supper.” My kids are still always hungry. I keep snacks. So concerned about how my kids will get through weeks of no school. It’s a great community & family but I am still concerned.

some districts have their main office open to offer lunch to those kids nice gesture, but i dont think theyre bussing them over for it. i don’t see a first grader getting there on their own. local churches will be preparing for this, too. see what you can find & email to parents?

I donated to Alameda County Food bank, Meals on Wheels and Project Openhand. We must help those less fortunate and those who are so vulnerable. Thank you

And quit hoarding groceries! Those of us that shop twice a month are having issues just getting staples.
