Please also offer help to people with disabilities who may have chronic illnesses and are high risk. Let’s not leave out that this is a huge population that needs our help too.

Thank you for saying that. I'm not elderly but am 43 yrs old disabled person with a high risk of being in a critical unit if it when I contact this virus. I'm fine and can take care of myself but many other young disabled people with compromised immune systems may be in need.

I check on my 85 year old neighbors-husband and wife-everyday and I’ll do the shopping for them bc they are fragile

I've been seeing posts on nextdoor with folks offering help to local neighbors. It made me smile knowing that the community is staying strong and helping those less fortunate.

If you're healthy and all keep some distance, it's fine. If someone asks you to get them groceries, you don't have to actually touch them. People have phones and you can leave the things outside their door and let them know.
