Her Grandmother has been working with the school to help this little girl cope with her problems. It's such a shame she's been traumatized now and may never approach a cop for help if she needs them. Like you, I think schools ignore bullies and on-campus violence.

I have spent most of my 35-year teaching career working with kids with emotional and behavioral issues. NEVER has one of my students been led out of school in handcuffs. Not only was this officer at fault, so was the school.

More and more kids are impacted by trauma or are dealing with mental illness. Schools should have a plan to deal with these kids without causing further emotional damage. There need to be mental health workers in our schools.

I saw this yesterday. Heartbreaking. These cops need to be fired. She is only 6 years old.. handcuffing her? These is just cruelty for the sake of it.
