Had a similar experience with a Kroger customer service employee. Only $1,000, but, he told me I should take a second look. I did and sure enough, Scam. Thanks again!
You would be really surprised how compassionate the people are in that community. Cab drivers are awesome for that company.
I see this a lot in my line of work. I’ll go to customers home and they will say they paid their utility bill. Come to find out they were scammed. Usually fold who are older and/or immigrants 



I sure hope she overtipped him...

My grandfather almost fell for a similar scam. It was a bank teller who stepped in to stop it.
