The House admittedly denied due process to @realDonaldTrump in their sham impeachment hearings. Why should the Senate make the case for @HouseDemocrats that they couldn’t make for themselves?
Let’s be real clear: even if Trump wanted to claim he’s been exonerated after the trial, there cannot be a true acquittal if there hasn’t been a fair trial. We need witnesses. We need documents. Anything less doesn’t constitute a fair trial and fair process.

That was the job of the House of Representatives. They had witnesses and documents. Ask Congressman Schiff why they didn't have more.

Apparently people don’t realize that this isn’t the same type of “trial” as in a courtroom. The house says he needs to be removed and brings all the evidence. If the senate feels they haven’t met their burden they have no obligation to call more witnesses.
