Our teachers shouldn’t have to learn how to tackle a gunman as part of teacher orientation.
By turning a blind eye to the gun violence epidemic in exchange for a payout from the @NRA, Republicans in Congress have failed our teachers and students.

That ship has sailed, on the availability of guns in America. They are a part of our heritage & will always be a protected right, for good reason. What has changed, is both the blind eye to psychopathic behavior and the weak law enforcement/institutionalization of these defects

I got to do a “Professional Development” called “Stop the Bleed.” It was every bit as horrifying as you might imagine. If I wanted to be trained as an EMT I would be. But Im not, I’m a teacher. This is not how we fix this problem.
